“I am not ready to quit working.” These words were spoken by Randy Bagwell often as his date for retirement approached. As he began his search to write the next chapter of his book, he found the asset inventory industry was a very good fit for him.
The retired Senior Claim Service Consultant was always traveling during the 19 years that he was an Allstate National Catastrophe Team member. His experience as a Licensed Insurance Adjuster, required in all 50 states, gave him insight and knowledge of the importance to know what you own before a loss. Working with people who were facing financial hardship due to insufficient insurance coverage or the inability to remember and prove ownership of what they owned provided first-hand knowledge of the importance of a personal property inventory.
He has an even wider background from witnessing devastation and loss in his own home town of Easley, South Carolina, during the 12 years he owned Restorx Restoration Services. Seeing the effects first hand of folks who did not have an inventory of their personal belongings made an impact on his decision to enter the personal property inventory industry as the owner of Accurate Inventory. Helping his clients prepare for and recover from a disaster – whether it’s their home or small business – fulfills this goal of helping people.
A graduate of Liberty High School, Randy is a long-time resident and native of Liberty/Easley, South Carolina. Choosing to pursue higher education, he attended Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tennessee and Tri-County Technical College in Pendleton, South Carolina.
Realizing the benefits of industry education as well, Bagwell is certified in fire and smoke, water, and odor restoration from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration (IICRC). Additionally, within the personal property inventory industry, he has achieved his Certified Inventory Specialist (CIS) and Certified Appraisal Examiner (CAE) designations from the National Inventory Certification Association.
In addition to home and business contents inventory services for disaster preparedness and recovery, Bagwell also offers residential documentation services for collectibles, separation of assets, prenuptials, estates, and appraisals. His small business inventory services serve the needs for disaster preparedness and recovery, asset tracking, budgeting, preventing duplicate purchases, and preparing for buy/sell/merger/acquisition transactions.
Randy resides in Easley, South Carolina with his wife Deborah Owens Bagwell. They have 2 children, David Bagwell and Elizabeth Stephens, and 4 grandchildren.
Accurate Inventory is bonded and insured, serving the states of South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia.
